Mountain Expedition
Borrowdale, Lake District

27th & 28th April 2013

A bright and sunny day on Saturday, and then a wet and very windy day on Sunday. We met at Rosthwaite in Borrowdale, and then walked down the valley to Grange then up to Hause Gate, then up along the ridge across Maiden Moor to High Spy and Dale Head. We then dropped back into the valley, via Castle Crag.

Night Hike
Pen-y-ghent
Saturday 20th April 2013

Beautiful, cold evening with clear skies and bright moon.

Guided by Mark Reid, 7 people took part and we reached the summit just as the sun was setting behind Ingleborough. We walked back along Horton Scar Lane without torches as the moonlight was bright enough to see where we were going.

Yorkshire Three Peaks
Sunday 21st April 2013

12 participants took part, who raised over £4,000 between them for various charities.

Three Peak Walkers were: Sarah, Karen, Vikki, Julie, Justyna, David, Jack, Graham, Damian, Mark, Patrice and Craig. Guided by Mark Reid and Kath Needham

Set off at 7:15am at Ribblehead, and finished at 7:25pm. Climbed Whernside first, then Ingleborough and finally Pen-y-ghent.

Weather was cold, blustery with some showers in the afternoon, and then the sun came out for the last 2 hours.

WELL DONE EVERYONE - the Yorkshire Three Peaks is certainly a challenge walk!
