Exciting new initiative for 2013
Let us plant a tree in the Yorkshire Dales on your behalf!

Here at TeamWalking, we've teamed up with the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust to help fund their Dales Woodland Restoration programme.

For every TeamWalking corporate booking for our range of exciting Team Building or Team Activity days, we will plant at least one deciduous tree in the Yorkshire Dales on your behalf, and also send you a tree dedication certificate in your company's name. In fact, we will plant 1 tree for every 8 participants who take part in your TeamWalking day.

So, not only will you have a fantastic day in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, but you will also help create new woodland and restore existing habitats in the process, which in turn will help the environment and go towards your Corporate Social Responsibility.

NEW - 2-day Winter Skills weekend course
Aviemore, Scotland

With Rob Wymer, Winter and International Mountain Leader & Buxton Mountain Rescue Team member
Assisted by Mark Reid

An introduction to Winter Skills for hillwalkers, based at Aviemore in the stunning Cairngorms, Scotland.

Walking in the British mountains in winter is one of the most exhilerating outdoor experiences you can have. The Cairngorm National Park provides the novice winter hillwalker with hills and mountains that are accessible and achievable, and offers the perfect area to learn and practice winter skills. That said, the Scottish mountains in winter are potentially hazardous - having the right equipment coupled with winter hill skills is essential.

This 2-day course will give you the skills and judgement needed to become a safe and competent winter hillwalker.

What's included:
  • Tea/coffee both mornings
  • 2 full days' winter mountain skills training with a Winter Mountain Leader
  • OS map and compass for the weekend
  • Helmet, crampons (flexible C1) and ice axe provided - but please bring your own if you have them.
  • Head-torch provided
  • Course notes
  • Use of our Berghaus waterproof gear if required.
  • 15% discount at Cotswold Outdoor (in-store and online)
  • £10 TeamWalking discount voucher for use against future courses
Please provide your own travel, food, accommodation, ski/snow goggles and 4-season (B1) winter walking boots - 4-season boot hire is available at Aviemore. This course is suitable for people with summer hillwalking experience, who wish to learn core winter skills.
